Season 1-4 are top tier TV, 5-7 dips but I still really enjoyed it from this point. 8 is so bad it's good territory with the WOAT ending so it's hilarious

Season 8 was also the only Dexter season I watched live and boy the memes during that shitty season were some of the best I've ever seen

Breaking Bad's last season was airing at the same time on the same night and I remember one week the Dexter subreddit skipped the Dexter Live discussion thread and made one for Breaking Bad instead

Now I want to watch it just to get to season 8 to see how shitty it is haha.

Season 4 tho is one of the best seasons of TV I've ever seen, I can't say enough good things about it. I'd recommend everyone watch the show at least til season 4, but I say the next 4 are also worth it for luls

Yeah a friend of mine watched Dexter from the beginning and he was so pissed off about season 8

And even 5-7 still usually had a few fire episodes a season, it's just overall you could tell the quality was worse

I wanna say the last episode of season 7 is one of my favorite episodes of the whole show, but the rest of that season, especially the last half was super weak...but that last episode gets you with the flashback nostalgia

Probably the most frustrating part of the ending too (and I won't spoil anything for you Mitch), is that they could have done everything EXACTLY the same, but just added one TINY fuckin' thing to the very last scene and I think 90% of the fanbase would have marked and forgiven them for all of season 8...but they didn't do it and the ending fuckin' sucked
