but that involves Leon, which whilst phenomenally acted by Natalie and Jean, well, the underlying hints about the 2 main characters are a little disturbing

I think one of the reasons I like Minority Report so much is it's one of the most realistic future movies. Like all the tech stuff not the main story

its imo pretty clear he has absoilutely 0 interest and shoves her away at every turn (not to mention his character already doesnt really seem to be interested in any sort of sexual anything). shes a confused pre teen whos been abused and has no idea what love looks like and acts accordingly to what she's observed in her horrible upbringing. While I do think there's supposed to be some level of awkwardness in the moments where she attempts advances, I find it quite a good lesson as opposed to the other, as he clearly refuses her and shows 0 interest

apparently the original script did feature them having sex. Thankfully that was removed (iirc NP's parents threatened legal action if they even hinted at it happening)

yeh I think ppl over think it to fit a narrative, subconsciously or not.

I find that very surprising considering the directors comments, maybe one of those urban rumors?
