If CMLL and AAA could be cool with each other for a bit, it would be awesome to see both of them with AEW. Throw in DG, and I'll happy person for life, lol
so i went from thinking CMLL was scummy and petty af but upon reading more it seems AAA is carny and fucking pretty shitty too?

like from what i saw the main issue with CMLL is the leadership protects the old dudes way too much to keep their spot and dont let young guys grow enough , esp after the sister got coup'd

CMLL is more petty and stubborn from what I've always understood while AAA is more carny and has the more accessible product for foreigners

Also when the pandemic hit, I remember a lot of people having issues with CMLL bc they couldn't work anywhere else but their pay was very dependent on the house....and it was empty arenas

I misread what Jeff said, my fault. Yeah, both are pretty carny to each one's degree, but CMLL is very conservative in booking and other areas and tend to protect the older guys over the younger, though not always the case. AAA allows its luchadors to kind of do whatever within reason and allows some of their talent to work out of Mexico or even Mexican Indies. What Chris has said is pretty accurate as well

Classic Lucha Libre is hard to defined because you have to either pick an era or pick wrestlers to define it. To me classic lucha libre is more groundwork then than aerial, like Satanico, Pepe Carras, Ultimo Guerrero, Skayde, and so on.

this is how I'd describe CMLL, it's not a lot of high flying compared to what most people think
