- Chechnya (Chechen-Ingush Republic) consisting of the current Republics of Chechnya and Ingushetia, with Ingushetia being an autonomous region (because it's too small)
- Dagestan (Republic of Dagestan), same borders as Russia
- Ossetia (Republic of Ossetia) consisting of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. Just because if Russia really cares about the Ossetian minority in Georgian South Ossetia, they surely won't mind an independent nation of them. A union of the Ossetias could happen subject to Georgia's approval
- Circassia (Circassian Republic) consisting of the Republics of Adygea, Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkyria, and all territory of Krasnodar Krai south of the Kuban River, with the Circassian disapora having full right of return. (Never forget the 19th-century Circassian Genocide)
- Siberia (Union of Siberian States) consisting of all Russian holdings in the Siberian Federal District going west, including Sakhalin
- Kuril Islands ceded to Japan
- Southern area of the Republic of Buryatia ceded to Mongolia
- All areas of Russia within 200 km of an international border or coastline to be demilitarised
