a lot of the concepts are so good, Stine just shit them out so fast without even thinking about them like a psychopath lol they could def be refined

The Haunted Mask was just about as perfect a concept as possible, but I'd also have the mask starting to warp the main character's personality into sadistic tendencies, actively having that urge to hurt people, that she has to fight off, and the masks could actually be some sort of eldritch abominations that possess the people who wear them.
