The biggest issue with the Barrows Mansion is that its layout makes zero sense

However, that makes complete sense, especially considering in-universe, Dan Barrows is fucking with the layout of the mansion to mess with Jennifer and the other survivors.

It's why on every new playthrough, stuff is changed around and rooms are entirely swapped with each other.

This in my opinion is the canon look of the mansion as it is in official canon, thus far. It's a square mansion with an inner courtyard.
