on what facts is it the most random in the world. Gonna need some sources
Baseball is entirely about chance and percentages. The baseball will also vary wildly in where it goes despite what a pitcher wants it to. Control helps I'm that aspect, but a pitcher will never 100% know where his ball is gonna go. When a batter also hits the ball, even a slight variation of contact drastically changes the direction and velocity of the ball. It's why so many foul balls are from contact and not the ball just going out of bounds. Additionally, baseball parks are not uniform to dimensions. There is a world of difference between Target Field and Fenway Park, among other fields too. Nothing in baseball is a certainty. You can have a percentile prediction, and you can analyze stats to minimize the randomness, but baseball is inherently random by nature. Hitting something going 90+ mph with a stick is usually gonna have a different result. Then throw in the fact those balls are going different directions, velocities, and can be manipulated. And there is no dead certainty in baseball. It's why teams like the Braves and Twins can go from dead last one year to World Series participants the next (1990-1991).
