Like Cali vs Bridges. I think according to Smark, it was basically tied in voting so the decider came down to what helped the storyline the best and honestly, I think it worked out well. Marquise got a win, Cali's stuff with Top-Gun furthered along and now we have that thread really showing now.

And since the match was close, that was why I went somewhat all out with it. I held back from doing stuff like finisher kickouts, but I just had both of them go back and forth, have a genuinely hard hitting match. Both characters are stronger.

And even if they had put the other way around, I would have done something similar to get both characters more over.

That's my mentality when writing. Unless there is a situation where someone "deserves" a squash, I try to give people in the match at least something to hang their hat on and further storylines. Even if a match isn't this back and forth epic.

Even the Norman vs Daniel match I wrote. The stipulation was a bit restrictive and I had to work around it, but I decided to do a proper David vs Goliath match. Have Norman dominants, but Daniel fights from under and gets some moments to shine. Norman does some vicious stuff like remove his bandages, bite him, then when he saw things were getting close, he just yeeted him into the ref, grabbed a fireball, and put him away.

AMA is always a treat to read. I'm just very happy that I went 2-0 and have a good feud setup now for Norman. I have some most excellent things in store for him

Sometimes it is fun just writing a match for someone who has beef and just can YEET people.

Though, when Cali called him "The big bad bowser," I don't think she meant for him to take it literally and shoot fire at people
