yeah that shit dont happen over night and its a much more secular and tucked away population with very strict rules on immigration to maintain their culture

It's partially why a movie like Grave of the Fireflies, a desperately sad Miyazaki movie, is actually very shallow propaganda to basically tell those rebellious teenagers, "This is what your fucking parents went through, you ingrates."
