My family is two different denominations of Christianity. Church of God (Pentecostal) vs. Church of Christ (Very NOT Pentecostal).

I understand people having misunderstandings about religion. I’m considered a Mormon (don’t go to church or do anything, but I believe in God and all that stuff) and people always are like “oh so you can have lots of wives.” When that’s not something we do anymore. There is a BRANCH that broke off from the church and formed their own thing who still does, but that’s FLDS, not LDS.

There's pretty much one group I have a distaste for, but that's only because of a *really* bad experience with two of them.

My ex's step-parents are Mormons, and they were some of the absolute worst people I've ever met.

I will say the reason I stopped going is because of how judgemental some can be however

But anyways, they would talk to you with that fucking air of moral superiority and they'd act like they knew what they were talking about even when they were being extremely bigoted. Like one of them was outright homophobic because their ex-husband became gay.
