It unfortunately takes an awful lot of evidence to get public opinion to back a man in those situations and even more to convince people he’s the victim in the scenario. Even after the tape came out with Amber admitting to hitting him, 6 more years passed where Depp was still blackballed from society and no one wanted to see him.

Supposedly defamation is notoriously hard to win, but I don’t think anyone can believe Amber’s story after how many times she was caught perjuring herself on the stand and how badly Depp destroyed her with his case and how poorly her team did proving hers or countering his.
