Our protagonist is a disillusioned member of the Ethical Government of Vegania, a nation that formed from the fall of the US based in California, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Arizona, and Washington.

While I'm at it, There's other nations too from the Former USA. The New Confederacy is Virginia, North & South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama. Florida is so unloved it just forms the Florida Republic.
