And that is sort of what a long title reign should do, or any title reign, to be fair: Have an end goal of "Okay, who is going to be next?" and during it, let them do stuff that is meaningful (both champion and next champion), test other people who may not be champion yet, but may be future options, then afterwards have the loss be meaningful to champion and former champion
