Not really, a good navy would be pretty good at keeping them supplied, and at one point having the whole Nile worked out pretty well. Not so much by the end of the episode. Egypt is back in Muslim hands for the most part.

I dont think even a good navy can really help, they've got a small chunk of land thats got no sea access, a small speck just accross the ocean then they need to send ships through the strait of gilbarter to get to their france holdings(also do they have a chunk of ireland as well?) so they're stretched huge and easy pickings
