Genuinely been one of the best storylines on TV this year and that is despite the fact WWE has their "Road to Wrestlemania" which is meant to be their biggest of the year

Oh yea, no doubt on that. Punk/MJF probably THE strongest contender for Storyline/Feud of the Year. WWE can't compete.

This has benefited from the fact AEW has only 4 PPVs a year. Started night after Full Gear and since there isn't 10 PPVs between, they don't need to face often. Took a while to face off, and first it was a tag match.

Then they had a singles match, and when they booked a rematch, they put it under different circumstances and did stuff to add to the feud before the match itself.
