Done the end credits, holding off on doing the post-game until I've reached Rank 10 because I've heard the post-game is a biiiiiiitch

Nice. I got to that first town and joined that group and then I kinda just stopped playing.

Doing side quests and leveling an all-star team before I do the main post game quest

I spend a good few hours just roaming around that first area and catching/fighting stuff

I know the big fight people are talking about. It is legit one of the hardest battles in the series. Take a different battling system, one of the already hardest teams in the series, and make the battle basically 8 v 6 with two legendaries
