If people want my personal opinion, I think everyone's love boner over Liquid Snake is so unwarranted considering he's not even important to the overall story of Metal Gear.

I'd kinda say the same for Snake and Raiden. Hell, the first big scene was the president grabbing his pp.

2 and 3 were fun when I first played them but I don’t really care about replaying them. I’ll replay MGS on PS1 Classic from time to time tho.
