I'm in a pretty good place these days, but like you I powered through a lot and got out of my comfort shell. Towards the end of last year, I made BIG progress. Like going out with friends, which I always used to put off.

My early 20's (FUCK I'm in my late 20's now ) Consisted of this for me.

Still very much like being at home though, and crowds get to me a lot. Always anxious at work too. So just hoping I can get a better handle on those things.

@Heartblaze Kid This'll be a weird question, but have you ever been in a mental hospital/rehab place? Like an actual one that specializes in just that stuff, not a psych ward at a normal hospital that are usually horrible.

I'm just glad I'm able to keep myself busy really being so introverted, with the lockdowns and Covid in 2020 like I realised how important that was mentally.

This'll sound like the most ass-backwards things, but ending up in one was the best thing that ever happened to me. I found out EXACTLY what conditions I had, how I could manage them both with and without meds, that there was nothing *wrong* with having this stuff, it served as a refreshing time away from things in life, I came out to my family. Like literally the worst time of my life turned into the best because I went to a mental hospital.

Yea.... many of those facilities don't deserve to have that very bad stigma attached to the whole idea of mental hospitals
