Texas has a great government system for the most part I'll say tho, just some gerrymandering abuse really fucking it up

They almost had all the checks in place to prevent it...almost

The Texas government was basically modeled after the US one except without so many loopholes bc by the time we were admitted as a state, problems were already seen in the US system so Texas worked to prevent those....but some hadn't been abused yet so we have those issues now too

But thankfully you can't do stuff like attach something completely unrelated to a bill here just to sabotage it from passing like the US congress does all the time when it moves from senate to house and vice versa
