Why the fuck did they change Walter's name?

I have 3 theories. 1. They want to honour famous Penguin, Gunther. 2. Vince has a thing for naming people after former Nazis (considering the full trademarked name was Gunther Stark... who ran Nazi U boats in WW2). 3. WWE just wants something to trade mark, googled European names, Gunther sounded German, which is "close enough" to Austrian, and went for it.
