I have been in that situation. I voted for Obama both times.

If it wasn't for the electoral college then all of California's votes wouldn't be Democrat the Republicans that live there would actually count

I'm just saying... You yourself said Cities don't represent the US and it's true. Way more people live in rural America/small towns and cities... but why does the Electoral College have to be there, to keep the whole thing "fair" for rural America then, when pure "Most Votes over the whole Country win" would actually favor the part of the country that has so much more people?

I find it much more unfair for whole states to not matter though because of a few over populated cities who don't represent the majority of Americans.

Not true. If it wasn't for the electoral college those people would NOT be represented. With the electoral college, a percentage of those votes have to go to Republicans because people voted for them.
