Almost all of my promos are written in the moment, but with some rough draft beforehand.

Which is generally why my promos end up pretty long-winded and get upwards of 5k words (as far as Humanity goes).

There's only one promo I've been working on that has been totally planned out and it's probably gonna top out at 9k words.

Same, I'm largely an in the moment writer. When it comes to my individual stuff, I don't really draft or outline. I tend to base everything off of one or two words.
