It is a mix of researching names through the game, so Marvin Branagh, Edward Elliot, and David Ford among others, and reworking singular names from the Outbreak series, and then adding custom names to give the whole department life.

I don't think I played anybody else during my multiple playthroughs of Outbreak when I had it on PS2, I just always defaulted to Kevin because I thought he was the coolest

I think the mechanically best characters in the game are Kevin, George, and David. Kevin has an awesome kick attack, George has herbs starting off, and David with his improvisational tactics.

I quite enjoy 7, and the Baker family. Took me a while to get used to playing it in first person though.
