24th is the big day for presents and the kids and food and drink and the 25th is mostly just quieter and shorter. Usually we got out to eat on that day, but for obvious reasons not this year.

Sounds nice, I'm glad to be having a quiet Christmas this year. I do enjoy seeing family but yea, it makes for a nice change of pace seeing them before the day.

xmas lunch in nz is more casual, most of its cold food like salad and that, the hot food is only roast potatoes and hot bread rolls
