I'll just give you the run down. Folks are arguing over the word "Latinx" being unnecessary since Spanish already had gender-neutral language hard-wired into it.
Long story short, Spanish and other Latin languages are already inclusive enough despite having gendered words. No need to make up words to be "more inclusive" for a small minority of the population. It isn't English where that's possible.
