And I liked the whole losing streak and Reunion angle with Hawkins and Ryder, it was just... they tip-toed around it for months with highlighting Hawkins' losing streak when he was on TV (which felt like he was 5 times over the year prior)

There is a reason why the 18 month build-up to Sting vs. Hogan at Starrcade '97 is still one of the best angles of all time... at least imo

The build up was incredible. Still don't know how they fucked that up. Did Nick Patrick really get paid off by Hogan? It's just bullshit, Hogan lost anyways and made everyone look bad
