I didn't say I didn't want to hear the other side. I said I didn't want a debate and that I was just answering a question that was asked. I do not participate in debates anymore because the ALWAYS get out of hand and insults end up being thrown. And I typically wind up on the receiving end of an attack by several mods and different members. Not very fun.

Calling your reason into question isn't an attack though.

Fair fair, but they are a lot of hateful people out there who would want to keep the rights away from people, and that to me just isn't right or fair. If two dudes or two chicks love each other, they should honestly be allowed to be married. It doesn't hurt you, it doesn't hurt anyone. It's not like their some marriage pool where the more people who get married the less shit you get, you know?

I disagree. I don't think it is hateful to vote your religious beliefs.

I don't think the government should be involved in marriage regard. Unless of course the person is under age. Otherwise it should only be up to the individuals if they decide to get married

But again, marriage has been around before religion for that matter, and well before christian religion, so why should people deny others the right to get married because their religion denies it? Why should religion get a monopoly on the term marriage?

I mean, I'm just saying man. It doesn't hurt you, it doesn't hurt anyone. I just don't see why you care what others do if it's not harmful to you is all.

It is incredibly misguided and wrong to vote based on religious belief. The US is supposed to separate church and state. No person, regardless of political affiliation, should be voting on any subject based on their religion or any metaphorical book.
