I consider Christopher Columbus to be the biggest monster in world history, not just because of what he did during his life, but because his blatant disregard for the life of the natives indirectly led to 40 million people dying to colonization.

As I said before, they were given weeks if not months to leave. And they only reason they were fired upon is the Secretary of war (Daniel Cameron) sent WARSHIPS to the fort and the when the South saw WARSHIPS off the coast they thought they were being attacked. A brilliant ruse to have a reason to attack with some drudged up justifaction.
