People my age that grew up on the prequels always liked them more the people who grew up with the OGs, pretty sure they also talk shit about the sequels the same way now. Time is a flat circle

Nostalgia is powerful. The prequel trilogy was basically my childhood as I'm just approaching 26 soon. Those are the movies I grew up with as Star Wars but I appreciated the OG ones as well

Rogue One is legit up there with my favourites though. Seriously. I actually adored it and the cast. Appreciated the darker tone as well.

Rogue One might be the second best film of the series imo.

I was 13 when Phantom came out, and I had only really been watching the OG series since maybe I was 8 or so. So I don't know if I qualify as growing up with the prequels, but I'd like to think so.

I'd count it, if you were like 15 tho i bet you'd have hated jar jar more just on principle

When I watched The Phantom Menace, I didn't like Jar Jar Binks....but my nieces and nephews thought he was funny, then I realized "oh, this one isn't meant for me".

I got into star wars late af, was in high school before I watched a single film so I just watched them all lol

Jar Jar was an important character - as it allowed us to connect to a brand new specie in the universe

I basically like Phantom Menace because of Darth Maul and his lightsaber. That was basically what got me hyped when I was younger.

You watch in release order and 1-6 is great. 6, 2 and 3 are my least favorite but they're sandwiched in the middle so you start with my 2 favorites and end with my favorite of the sequels
