I think the issue is that his Babyface character for the longest time was not playing to his strengths. He is best as a cool, confident, badass. They made him mini-Cena for years and his best moments as a baby face were when he could be that genuine badass. His character right now plays into that, but adds mafia vibes along with parts of his Samoan heritage. It is layered well overall.

Yea, for the longest time they were trying to make the guy an underdog which made no sense. You just need to take one look at him and it's quite easy to see he's not.

yeah and again thats not on HIM to choose. its more of philosophical/overall booking issue I have with WWE. i dont disagree with their assessment he should be one of the top guys.
