I agree that New Nightmare is underrated by the way KIF, I'll probably give it another watch. I like Freddy coming in to the real world. I'm also in the camp that thinks he is creepier in that one with the trench coat.

I geniunely wish we'd got a proper NOES movie with that tone. New Nightmare is great but it very much feels like its own thing. As much as I like Robert Englund cracking jokes, that movie proved he can up the serious factor.

I think it's becoming a bit of a cult classic. I at least see more appreciaiton for it online these days.
