It turns out you can actually do them in different orders. The Witches boss I'm planning on doing next is easy and I think you are meant to do that before the Vicar fight.

I actually thought Cleric was easy if you stay close, the Father killed me a couple of times though because I kept gettting stuck on the tombstones

Scariest part of that bridge to face Cleric was the fucking werewolves that guard it. The amount of times those bastards killed me dude.

Apparently the Witches boss is stupidly easy so I'm doing that next
