I think the thing Smark is that Forums, to begin with, are more for people who want to have proper discussions with people in a way that they can look back on and use later. Social Media, Discord, and Reddit, in my opinion at least, are more for folks to want information quickly and succinctly in bite-sized chunks.

personally i prefer Social Medias for discussion but Forums are way more organized and stuff. Plus I can't imagine E-Feds working on Discord with how they are run
