Well, I personally wouldn't call violating a consulship or establishing a personal dictatorship as great things, but to each their own

He debatably violated some rules during his consulship, but he also improved the lives of the average Roman citizen by a wide margin. I'd call Cato the biggest coward tbh for not letting the agreement between Pompey's group and Caesar's group from going through, which would have let Caesar keep a single province and a single legion, all while allowing him to run for Consul in absentia again.

Instead, Cato's hate for Caesar let things exacerbate to the point where Julius Caesar felt there was no recourse left but to march on Rome.
