I quit retail at the start of it, I knew what was in store.

they told us, "hey if you want to take time off for this you can and won't get in trouble" so i took the max amount I could afford. then I went back and told them I needed the money and one of the bosses was like, "you know, if you quit because of covid you could file for unemployment and we would approve it so you actually could get paid but you have to quit"

so i did and when i applied they denied it and said they don't offer it to people that voluntarily quit.

I was lucky that I saved up a decent amount of money because I was planning on moving. been living off that for a year now.

I did see a few months ago Biden was actually signing an executive order that made it so if you did quit your job for a reason like I did, you were still eligible for unemployment so I thought about reapplying for it but honestly, I just want to go back to work.
