I had a Nurse Practitioner at an Urgent Care place look at it the evening it happened and they said the blood flow was fine.

It is just like a half inch of my finger. About halfway down the nail is where the safe door hit it.

I just think it may have bruised the nerve or something. Hoping it is temporary.

From our studies, anything around the half inch mark it is advised to have amputated.

Yeah that is not going to happen...lol

I am just wondering if all the feeling is coming back. I would never have it amputated.

I figured amputation would just be if blood supply was lost to the finger and it is going to die anyway.

There is no logical reason to have it amputated....lol. It isn't mangled. I have full use of it. It looks normal. It is just a bit numb....and it happened like 2 days ago.
