Well, I wasn't watching at the time. Based on rewatches, I thought 2016 was pretty damn solid. 2017 starts to decline a little with the Shakeup and a pretty big gap in the roster quality.

It gets worse in 2017 100%, but that's based off where the 2016 draft and how they handled the split. You could save the 2017 and 2018 slide by starting in 2016.

By 2019, WWE is already a mudhole. No real saving it.

Nonetheless. My peak of hype for WWE in recent years was probably coming out of Mania 35 with the new guard of Becky, Seth and Kofi all as face champions. But, then came the Shakeup and the Wild Card rule and Seth's reign going off the rails and Kofi ending unceremoniously and Reigns feuding with Elias then Shane then Corbin in one terrible feud after another and so on and so forth...

I mean I liked the champs, but the product was already buried in shit from 2017-2018, so good luck with it if you start in 2019.

I guess I just don't agree with that assessment. I was interested in 2019 until the things I described happened, leading into the pandemic where of course shit has just become brutal to watch
