I live in a small unincorporated town. Closest police with jurisdiction is the county and they are 30 miles away.

My Aunt called the police once because strangers were on her property with a bonfire throwing a party. The Police told her no Police could come because only 2 were on duty and they were too far away. Said if they tried to break down their door to shoot them.
