The Cascadia Subduction Zone has, according to scientists, a 37% chance of causing a wholly horrifying 9.0 Earthquake.

In the event of such a catastrophe, FEMA themselves declared that they would only focus on everything East of I-5. Their reasoning being that everything West is unsalvageable.
