Well they were certainly trying with Ahmed Johnson. If he could just stay healthy, he probably would have been a WWE champion in either '96 or '97.

He was the second Samoan to win the WWF Championship. I think the is he black debate will end if Kofi wins because then there will at least be one other black WWE Champion.

Killa, the reason people question it is because he wasn't he first Samoan Champion but after him WWE has never booked a second black Champion. So Vince clearly doesn't mind Samoan WWF Champions, but it seems he doesn't want to book black ones.
