also, @Shield-Maiden , id probably say that outside of the super teams like canada/usa, our own National Juniors Hockey Leagues (professional minor) is probably higher skill level than most international men's hockey teams. This includes a bunch of USA juniors that come up to play, they make up over 80% of the international players in the minor league, so they are excellent as well
but that league is not running sadly, we have 3 junior league (quebec+eastern, Ontario, Western) that usually run three seasons at the same time. then, we have a massive tournament
or the World Junior Tournament. usually around christmas. thats usally all the ffuture first round drafts from every country and the best of the best thats coming up. the other world tournaments are kind of crap lol
