Just another day in Wrestling SmarksThe Great One said:I mean that's literally what I meant the entire time.
It worries me if you don't see how patronizing and aggressive your responses are.I apologized if I used it improperly in the sense of abusinve relationship. and obviously didnt mean it that way, as i explained my position further down. again, you are WRONG. deal with it bro
So 5 bands / a tv show spanning 6 decades if I take you at your word. Versus probably hundreds of celebrities in one decade. So it really depends on what you mean by "the level." All I meant originally is I didn't want to live in a world where it's at "this level." anymore. That was a personal statement only applied to me. I really don't know why anyone needed to get defensive over it. I said it because I couldn't tell you 10 actors that got "cancelled" in say 1999 to 2009, my heyday, over things they said in their past that got drudged back up again. Most of those examples you listed seem to be bands, and two controversial cartoons, for some reason. Did people just hate new music? But I assume these "cancellations" were over things they said at the time or the music they were performing currently, or the adult themes in the cartoons, not old interviews from 10 years ago because losers looked for past statements not deemed appropriate in today's climate and then used them to get those bands to stop working, but whatever. If you guys don't see the difference in today's world, then it was in say 2007, then we'll never agree. Also, not my problem. Most people agree there's a culture difference today so it's whatever. Let's just drop it.Judge Barry said:The Beatles were almost cancelled in the US in the 1960's, people tried to cancel John Lennon, people tried to cancel Beavis & Butthead, South Park, the Dixie Chicks, etc. It happens my dude. It's just not on a pure concentrated level like nowadays with the advent of Social Media. It's what we've been saying. Cancel culture has always been there, but it is not on *the level* of today. Whether you admit it or not, it's... not my problem I guess?
