I just grew up on 1-3 and when 4 came out it was like a whole different game and I wasn't impressed then it got crazy popular and changed how the story even was so there's resentment in the game for me.

RE is like Star Wars for me, I think of it as different trilogies. the Raccoon City Trilogy(1-3), The Umbrella Trilogy(4-6) and the Ethan Trilogy (7-9)
