i rate him highly because he was fantastic in the ring and on the mic. he was also a dogshit person at the time and could have been 10x better had he not been high all the time

Ultimately we all have our perceptions. I was always super impressed by HBK. I genuinely don't think there was a better big match performer in the 90s and 2000s. Add in his accolades, wrestlers influenced, and the way that fans and peers have revered him throughout the years... I don't think he could be overrated.
