I know its hard to let go of history, but todays athletes are all better than they were back then. thats also just a fact of life

and thats in all sports

I wouldn’t say they was in NASCAR. The drivers of yesteryear are better there IMO.

but like, if you take most traditional sports, its just obvious that atheltes today surpass the ones from prior times. its evolution, science, nurtition, evolution of atheltics, etc

like all you need as an eye test , watch 90s hockey, watch todays hockey. the skill level overall is not even fkin close, todays teams would destroy them

A lot of them have just gotten in a car for a few laps and said how demanding it is on the body. Doing it for 400, 500, and even one race 600 miles is killer.
