I started out buying the 7.99 packs whenever I wanted points but now I just buy the $80 pack that gives you more.

if you buy the $80 pack of points you get 3,500 extra points I think it is which is like how much the $20 pack is.

It's one of those things where you always seem to need like 10 more points to get something so instead of being able to buy just the 10 points you gotta buy 1,000.
