It's the heating part that I think is confusing them, panic when it gets cold enough to turn the heat on basically

tbf thats how most work now, but yeah, there is still usually a switch

No lol you have to either turn on the heat or AC then pick a temperature and then it'll adjust to that temperature but it won't run heat if you have AC on
