Plus, this PPV might have the best example of how Russo has people involved up and down the car in stories and how he interweaves them.

Them too, but Austin was back by the time Angle got a top run. So they might not have been too affected.

today's fans would've bitched bout the tag titles being hot potatoed and too many gimmick matches

WWE can hot potato the tags all they want if they can create a deep division again. Which they'd have if they combined the tag team division across brands.
