Cable isn't really going anywhere. It's just changing medium. Now that Netflix's proprietary technology and success is out there, more and more companies are making their own streaming services so it's only going to be s few more years before we're back to needing to order 10+ services to get all our content and back to paying $100+. The only real change is gettign away from set times shows and weekly releases.
