"the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews" Now it is the media and Hollywood making their own neighbors hate them simply for having a Conservative viewpoint.

The main difference is that the Government doesn't control the media and Hollywood isn't beholden to an autocratic system to create propaganda. Republicans, again, have a strong power base and are still politically active and expedient. If Republicans had no power, then the comparisons would hold true.

Society at large for the most part doesn't care, though. There are numerous celebrities on twitter that have done so and have not been cancelled whatsoever.

Nobody said it was exactly the same treatment. She was making a point about how things can escalate by making your neighbors and every day people see others with a different religion or pollical opinion as less than.

Nobody said they weren't. They just aren't controlled by the government like it was in Nazi Germany, which was forced to push out propaganda.
